Statement from Kendall Dilling, President, Pathways Alliance, on the Government of Canada and Government of Alberta Memorandum of Understanding
“Pathways Alliance appreciates Premier Danielle Smith and Prime Minister Mark Carney’s leadership to create the conditions for growth of this important industry and its associated contribution to the Canadian economy. Canadian oil is an important economic driver for the country while supporting energy security in an uncertain world.
“To build on our country’s economic and energy future, we need additional pipeline capacity and market access. We must also ensure Canada has clear, competitive fiscal and regulatory frameworks, including carbon policies that protect Canadian competitiveness. Today, we’ve made important progress towards achieving our shared goal of growing the industry and the Canadian economy.
“We look forward to working with the Alberta and federal governments in the coming months on their shared objective of establishing Canada as a global energy superpower.”
